Wedding Trend: Bows

At Gabrielle Elizabeth we love a bow. Whether you have them as an accessory to your veil or wedding dress or use them to adorn the wine glasses for your name place settings, there are so many ways to include them in your day.

Not only are bows a great accessory to wear, they are also a luxurious detail in other ways. In this blog post I am going to show examples of the different styles and trends we're loving at the moment!

Bows are a great way to add interest to your table and can really anchor your centre piece. They also work well as name tags for your seating plan!

Play with the scale of your bows to add interest, from fine ribbons to thick velvet bows, each can be styled in slightly different ways to give your desired effect.

Best Day Ever Devon recently styled our personalised napkins with this beautiful pink ribbon and it works so well to add interest to the place setting, simple touches like this can make all the difference.

If you were thinking of having a veil, but can't find a style you're happy with, or that goes with your dress, there are alternative options, like having a veil bow (above). This is our Pearl Veil Bow, that can be personalised with a message of your choice.

Bows like this work well as an evening accessory too, if you are opting for two dresses and would like a second hair accessory or if you would like something to wear when you take your veil off later in the day, then these are the perfect solution.

Bow & Veil Combo

As well as our embroidered veil bow, we also have the detachable silk style bow, that can be worn on it's own or paired with your veil (as seen above). This is our foliage embroidered elbow length veil, paired with the bow - both can be worn separately, again a great solution for having more than one hair accessory for your day.

We love these signs from Signed by Jess, how cute is the oversized tulle bow? Whether you opt for a tulle bow or fine ribbon to hang your sign, both are elegant and chic and finish off the overall look beautifully.

Perhaps you don't plan to include bows on your wedding day, but in our opinion, bows are a must at your hen do! Our Hen Do Veil Bow is both a fun and classy piece, perfect for your celebrations.

You can buy yourself one of these from Gabrielle Elizabeth or as part of the Bridal Box here.

Bows are timeless, there is no doubting that, but in 2024 they have certainly made a stand in the wedding industry and we believe they are here to stay.

There are so many creative ways to incorporate bows into your wedding day. Whether you have found a new way of tying in your colour scheme with ribbon or simply an alternative accessory to wear throughout your celebrations, we hope this post has inspired you!
