Your Heirloom Guide
Thank you for choosing a piece from Gabrielle Elizabeth. Each item is made with care and designed to be treasured for years to come. Here's some suggestions on how to keep your item looking their best.
Veil Care:
Handle gently: Your veil is made from the finest of materials. Always wash your hands before touching it, and avoid lotions, perfumes or hairspray after putting it on.

Storage: Hang or lay your veil flat in a breathable garment bag, away from sunlight. Avoid hanging it inside your dress bag if your gown is heavily embellished, as beads or sequins can cause snags. After your wedding day, store your veil in the box and tissue paper provided to keep your veil safe and protected.

Cleaning: Professional bridal dry cleaning is recommended. If slightly soiled, spot clean with cool water and a mild hand-wash detergent. Never wring or twist - simply hang to air dry.

Pressing: Use a hand held steamer on a low setting. If using an iron, ensure the surface is clean and place a piece of cotton fabric (like a pillowcase) over the veil to protect it. Take extra care when ironing over embroidery, and avoid direct steam on lace edging or other delicate embellishments.

Tip: A few days before your wedding, hang your veil up high using the veil clip provided - this helps creases naturally fall out. The most effective way to smooth your veil is to let it hang freely in a safe space. For any stubborn creases, try hanging it in a steamy bathroom for a few minutes (away from direct water).

Washing: Hand wash or use a gentle machine cycle in cool water with a mild detergent.
Drying: Lay flat or hang to dry - avoid tumble drying to preserve embroidery and fabric shape/texture.
Ironing: Iron while slightly damp on a low setting. Place a cotton cloth over any embroidery to protect the threads.
Storage: Store flat, folded neatly in tissue paper or in a linen drawer

Embroidery Care:
Be Gentle: Embroidery threads can be delicate, especially embroidery on veils. Avoid snagging on jewellery or zips.
Washing: If embroidered areas need cleaning, gently dab with a clean damp cloth - never scrub.
Pressing: Iron from the reverse side or under a pressing cloth to protect the stitches.
A Few Extra Tips:
- Always test any cleaning method on a small hidden area first.
- Avoid harsh detergents, bleach, or fabric softeners.
- Store in a cool, dry place to prevent yellowing over time.
